Factorial — Automating access to apps when people join a company

The brief

When someone joins a company, IT and HR spend hours granting access to the same tools again and again. Orio Automate explores how an HR system could do it by itself: define which apps each role receives, and let assignment trigger the rest.

The proposal

I started with a product proposal and an MVP definition before designing screens — what the first version had to prove, and what could wait.

  • Role templates: each role defines the apps it gets, with a draft state for templates still being set up.
  • Automation activity: a log of what was granted, to whom and when — the trust layer for a system that acts on its own.
  • Alerts: clear goals and warnings when something needs a human decision.
